2011-2012 School Year Satellite Campuses Program

Enrollment in our program meets the compulsory attendance laws for the state of Tennessee. We do not claim that enrollment in our program meets the compulsory attendance and/or homeschool requirements in other states. It is the parents' / guardians' responsibility to meet the requirements of the state in which the student resides if they do not reside in Tennessee.

The school year for the satellite campus program starts on July 1, 2011 and ends  June 30, 2012.
There is no cut-off date for enrollment. You may enroll at any time. Please note: Tennessee's compulsory attendance law requires 180 days of attendance in a school year therefore we recommend enrolling by a date that allows your students) to accrue the required days of attendance before the end of our school year on June 30, 2012. Days of attendance accumulated as a LEA registered homeschooler or as a public/non-public student prior to enrollment in our program count towards the 180 days.
We cannot count days prior to enrollment in our program unless the student is transferring in from another Tennessee Department of Education recognized school system or program.

2)    (Required reading) Click here CRS Law & Jeter Memo The Farm School is recognized by the Tennessee Department of Education as a Category IV Exempted School (church-related school) operating under the Jeter Memo.
 
3) Submit family registration form, student enrollment application(s) and fees.

New enrollments don’t forget to submit the Transfer Request form wiith your paperwork

Do not submit the Transfer Records Request to the school you are withdrawing your child(ren) from - it should be submitted to us along with your application. We will submit it to the school. Please include the fax number for the school and double check the postal address.

Tennessee homeschoolers please note: You should submit the Transfer Records Request form with the student's enrollment application if you filed a notice of intent to homeschool with the state through your LEA in the past or current year. Do not list your home address as school address. Use the city or county LEA district name & address as the school name and address.  You will not be homeschooling under TCA 9-6-3050 so do NOT file a “Tennessee Department of Education Church-Related (Satellite) HomeSchool Registration Form”  if requested to do so by your LEA.
